Our Products: TARA.
News
bulletin: The U.S. Patent Office has granted a second patent to Egyptian
Coatings for its TARA EMI-RFI shielding. TARA has a property that is unique
among sprayed-on shieldings: It is non-flaking. If an internal coating
of an electronic enclosure flakes off, the copper particles may interfere
with electronic components and circuitry. TARA's conductive film, however,
is cohesive, meaning that the metal and the resin binders tenaciously
hold together. TARA, MQW-L85 is a water-base shielding made by Egyptian
Coatings. TARA is recognized by Underwriter Laboratories and by U.S. Patents
#5,696,196 and #5,968,600.
TARA is the proven standard of excellence in EMI/RFI shielding. TARA is
environmentally friendly, cost efficient and completely effective in eliminating
electronic noise.
Recycling of shielded plastic parts is
a reality with TARA because it's easily strippable. TARA adheres to
all engineering plastics and does not flake off.
A thin coat of Tara on plastic provides
maximum shielding effectiveness (65 dB from 1 mHz to 1gHz) and retains
its shielding capabilities after 300+ hours of humidity exposure.
TARA is a low V.O.C., single component,
water reducible coating that contains no heavy metals. It is easy to
apply with conventional spray equipment.
TARA is UL approved for use on engineered
plastics including ABS, Noryl (PPO), Lexan (polycarbonate), and ABS/PC
blends, and is proven stable through 50 days of humdity and thermal
cycling.
TARA's cost per part is less than plating and conventional spray shieldings.
